IT Consultant (Project Team) [Open]
We have just opened a new position on our IT consulting team to work directly under our IT Service Manager on client projects. This position will be dedicated to the project management side of the department. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits and paid overtime.
Required Experience/Skills:
3+ years of IT support experience.
Prior experience in consulting for small to medium sized businesses.
Prior experience with all windows server and desktop OS, Exchange, network infrastructure design and configuration, firewall configuration.
Prior experience working on full cycle IT projects. (examples: server replacements, Exchange migrations, firewall installations, remote office setups, client moves, network configuration and expansion, domain upgrades, backup solution implementations, VPN setups)
Prior experience writing proposals and presenting technical solutions to clients.
Physical Requirements: This position requires that the employee have a valid driver’s license. The position also requires the ability to walk some distances (to and from office and client sites.) Also, the ability to do wiring and lifting of PC’s and equipment (up to 50 lbs.) as required.

IT Consultant [Filled: 01/23/2012]
This position will be traveling to various client networks in the Boston / Metro-Boston area.
Essential Functions: (Core duties or tasks):
Provide strong knowledge of IT/IS technology in a production environment;
Travel between NSK office and a variety of client sites, reporting to all sites on time while always being prepared (with proper equipment, etc.);
Carry laptop, phone and all necessary equipment daily to and from all client sites;
Support client in all areas of IT support, as outlined in client contract;
Assist in maintenance of Windows servers as well as all applications in use by clients;
Maintain all client network equipment including servers, workstations, PDAs, routers, firewalls, switches and printers;
Provide remote service to clients when applicable;
Provide week/weekend on-call duties within a rotating schedule;
Be available for weekend/evening work when required;
Meet deadlines for assigned tasks;
Address the needs of the clients as quickly as possible;
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
3+ years of IT experience;
Must have Windows server and Windows desktop experience;
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office;
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Voice over IP, disaster recovery and Active Directory;
Some form of completed IT training (certificate, degree);
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Excellent customer service skills;
Ability to multi-task;
Excellent judgment/decision making skills;
Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision as well as with a team when needed;

Office Assistant [FILLED - 1/13/2012]
This position is very much the “voice of our company” being that he/she will be speaking with our clients on a daily basis.
Essential job duties include:
*Handles scheduling for IT Consultants;
*Answers / transfers all incoming calls;
*Event planning (office parties, monthly meetings);
*Office supply ordering and forecasting;
*Provides administrative support to various departments;
*Organizes and updates executive level calendars.
Job Requirements:
*At least one year of office experience in an adminstrative role;
*Associates degree or some completed higher level education;
*Proficent with MS Office programs — specifically Excel, Word and Outlook;
*Ability to learn new software and web applications as needed;
*Strong communication skills (both verbal and written);
*Self-motivated.
Preferred:

Client Account Representative [FILLED - 12/07/2011]
This position serves as the first point of contact with our clients to ensure that we are meeting expectations, and as such, must be personable, understanding and thorough.
Essential Functions: (Core duties or tasks):
• Puts together client welcome package and coordinates onboarding process for client;
• Perform routine tech reviews (annual, semi-annual) for existing clients;
• Keep up-to-date on the status of current projects, tickets, scheduled tech visits and client accounts;
• Responsible for assigned escalated tickets in the helpdesk queues and ensuring they acted on and resolved in a timely manner;
• Ensures all client information is up-to-date in NSK’s systems including client audit, RMM portal and all documentation in Autotask and Box.net;
• Consistently evaluate current client networks for new projects and upgrades;
• Responsible for checking customer satisfaction with calls after scheduled tech visits and random on-site spot checks.
• Responsible for sending monthly preventative maintenance reports to clients;
• Responsible for updating client contracts annually;
• Travel between NSK office and a variety of client sites for site checks and client customer service;
• On the client’s behalf, communicate with a variety of vendors for issues and needs in terms of hardware, software and communications.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
• Have a baseline knowledge or 1+ year of IT experience;
• 2+ years of experience in customer service;
• BS or BA in computer science or related field (additional experience will be required in lieu of a degree);
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Ability to multi-task;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Excellent judgment/decision making skills;
• Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision as well as with a team when needed;
• Punctuality (arriving to office as well as client sites on time).
