Designed from the start with support for intelligent Edge-to-Edge™ distributed switching, the Bluesocket solution leverages existing switching infrastructure to handle high speed traffic and provide an optimal mix of security, control and quality of service (QoS). This approach supports anticipated 802.11n performance, delivering a combination of secure centralized switching for security centric applications and on-demand edge forwarding for select latency-sensitive traffic - without increasing network complexity or introducing disruptive upgrades.

802.11n Access Point
Furthering Bluesocket's technology leadership position, the 802.11n Draft 2.0 compliant BSAP-1800 is the only enterprise Access Point with 2nd generation MIMO antenna technology. Two .11n based dual-band radios, a custom embedded antenna array with options for external antennas and a GigE port to support 2x 150Mbps streams, delivers market leading coverage and throughput. The BSAP-1800 also supports the 802.3af power standard with a single-port Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) solution.
